The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ What do they quarrel about? 1 (Is it) of the great announcement 2 that they are in utter disagreement? 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Again, by no means! anon they shall know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a bed, 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 And (have We not) created you in pairs, 8 made sleep for you to rest, 9 And made the night as a covering, 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, 12 And made [therein] a burning lamp 13 and sent down heavy rains from the clouds 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The day the trumpet blast is sounded you will come in hordes; 18 And the heaven is opened and will become gateways 19 and the mountains shall be made to vanish, as if they had been a mirage. 20 Surely hell lies in wait, 21 It will be a place of return 22 They will tarry therein for ages. 23 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, 24 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. 25 for a suitable recompense. 26 They were those who did not expect a reckoning, 27 And they belied Our revelations with strong belying. 28 And everything We have recorded in a book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
