Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 watching over you 11 who know all that you do: 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
