NAY, but consider the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning for people -- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until death approached us". 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
