Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
