۞ Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One Allah. So of Me, Me only, be in awe. 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. God's retribution is severe. Should you then have fear of anyone other than God? 52 And whatever blessings you have, are all from Allah – then whenever misfortune reaches you, towards Him only do you seek refuge. 53 Yet when He removes the evil from you, lo! a party of you associate others with their Lord; 54 So as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know. 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they attribute to Allah daughters - exalted is He - and for them is what they desire. 57 When any of them is told about the birth of a female his face turns dark, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. 60
