Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
