Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 as sustenance for My servants. With this We have brought the dead land back to life. Thus, will also be your resurrection. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
