The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
