Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
