The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful One 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
