Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
