Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
