The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 Nay, again, they will come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth a resting place? 6 and the mountains as pegs (to anchor the earth)? 7 And We created you in pairs 8 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 and built above you seven strong firmaments, 12 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, 13 And then sent down hard rain from the water bearing clouds. 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Verily the Day of Decision is a time appointed. 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 And the heaven will have been opened, and it will have become doors. 19 And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage. 20 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, 21 For the exorbitant a receptacle. 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 a befitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 Taste therefore. We shall not increase you in aught but torment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
