The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man. 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
