In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
