The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
