The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 closed around them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
