Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Noble and recording; 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
