The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Rolling (Al-Takweer). Sent down in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
