Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
