The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
