The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
