Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
