The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people together 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
