۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Are we not then to die 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
