Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 Then we brought forth such believers as were there. 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. 42 And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
