Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
