The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 and obeys its Lord as it must, 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 5 Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). 6 The reckoning of those whose Book of records will be given into their right hands 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 and will [be able to] turn joyfully to those of his own kind. 9 But he who is given his Book from behind his back 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 and he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Indeed he used to rejoice in his home. 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 or by the night in which things all come together to rest, 17 And [by] the moon when it becomes full 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
