We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
