The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
