Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
