The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must: 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand – 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 He lived rejoicing among his people, 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
