Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know all that you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
