Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
