Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
