The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water). 45 [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." 46 We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; 47 Neither any hardship is to reach them in it, nor are they to be expelled from it. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I alone am the Forgiving, the Merciful One, 49 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 They said, “Do not fear – we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said, “Do you convey to me the glad tidings upon old age reaching me? So upon what do you convey glad tidings?” (* Prophet Ibrahim said this out of surprise.) 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 excepting the folk of Lot; them we shall deliver 59 “Except his wife – we have decided that she is of those who will stay behind.” 60
