Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
