3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
