▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 If he is among the near 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
