A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)

206 verses, revealed in Mecca after S (Saad) before Jinns (Al-Jinn)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ Lam. Mim. Sad. 1 The Book has been sent down to you; so let your chest have no constriction because of it, in order to warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers. 2 "Follow what has been sent down unto you by your Sustainer, and follow no masters other than Him. How seldom do you keep this in mind! 3 And many a township did We destroy – so Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon. 4 and they but cried, when Our might came upon there, 'We were evildoers.'; 5 Then shall We question those to whom Our message was sent and those through whom We sent it 6 We shall recount (their deeds) to them with knowledge, for We were never absent (and saw all they did). 7 Truth alone will be of weight that Day. Those whose scales are heavy shall be successful, 8 And those whose (deeds) are lighter in the scale shall perish for violating Our signs. 9 We assuredly established you in the earth and arranged for your livelihood in it. Little do you give thanks. 10
