Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
