Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 And what is that indubitable event? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. 5 And the 'Ad were destroyed by the furious cold blast of roaring wind 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Then seest thou any of them left surviving? 8 And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 That We might make it unto you an admonition, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall, 15 The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail. 16 and will turn frail, losing all force. The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 O would that it had made an end (of me): 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 and our belief has destroyed us". 29 Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him, 30 and then let him enter hell, 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 He did not believe in Allah, the Great, 33 nor did he urge the feeding of the needy. 34 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
