And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
