The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
