The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
