۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Are we then not to die 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
