Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
