Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
