3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
