Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
